Dear Thermo-
I have seen and heard your most excellent KnoNow flash videos. I have also read all of your other posts as I am a big fan … I like your straight and simple explanations of even complex subjects. But how is it that you came to have an Australian accent if you were born in Washington State in the US?
Skeptical fan

Dear Skeptical-
That’s a fair question. Because of my fame I have an obligation to share some intimate details with my adoring fans. I was hatched in a pond called Kit’s Corner in Federal Way, Washington. Kit’s Corner is just a stone’s throw and three hops away from Novinium’s corporate headquarters. I began my rejuvenation studies early. One of my first assignments at Novinium was to help out with a rejuvenation project at Ergon Energy in Cairns, Queensland Australia – just onshore from the Great Barrier Reef. If you look very closely at the photograph nearby you can see me just to the left of the bloat stooped over in the pit. The water was a bit muddy, but I am there. Everybody else wore rubber boots. At that point in my life cycle I didn’t even have any legs! The job could not have proceeded so smoothly without my supervision and technical knowledge. I was in my formative development, so being exposed to all these Aussies while I was a tadpole had a profound impact on my linguistic development. I have to admit that I have not tried to shake the accent I acquired all those years ago, because the accent makes me even more exotic.
See ya later,
Thermo
